Description

The Edmonton Police Service Victim Services Unit offers Court Orientation Classes for adults that will assist victims and witnesses in preparing for an upcoming trial or preliminary hearing.

Court Orientation Only - This informal Court Orientation Class will familiarize victims and witnesses with court procedures, court personnel and their roles, and offer ways to cope with the fears and concerns that many people experience. This Court Orientation Class is held several times per month, dates and times vary. The duration of the class is approximately 1.5 hours.

The class location is Suite 110, 14315-118 Avenue, NW (Nexus Business Complex).

If required, we can also provide Court Accompaniment – a volunteer advocate to attend court with you. Please note we require a minimum of 5 business days, prior to the trial or preliminary hearing date, to schedule a Court Accompaniment. To request a Court Accompaniment, call 780-391-4078.
